Managua has the first Judo Academy

The Mayor's Office of Managua through the Sports Directorate, in conjunction with the National Judo Federation continues to join efforts to promote and expand the sport in its different disciplines, this time with the opening of the Judo Academy, in the facilities of the San Judas market in District III.

This space has been conditioned for the practice of this sport, in order to train future national selected athletes.

“This first Judo Academy of the Mayor's Office of Managua will be in charge of the athlete and instructor Yahoska Ortiz Hernández, to transmit all her knowledge to the girls, boys and young people who want to learn and practice this sport that has given Nicaragua many medals ”Said the Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas Rosales.

The mayor of the capital reported that the classes in this academy are completely free and will be taught on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 2:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon, in an age range of 6 to 17 years.

“For us it is important that they teach us Judo, a very beautiful sport that will help us grow as a person and as a professional. We will bring our enthusiasm ”said Ligia López, a member of the Judo Academy.
