The Nicaraguan Sports Institute (IND) was the scene of the Table Tennis Championship, held by the municipality on the morning of this Sunday, June 18, as part of the Managua 2023 Youth Games.
"Today, within the Managua 2023 Youth Games, we are presenting the discipline of table tennis, the Mayor's Office of Managua is taking it up again as one of those that demands more of you and today we are starting this competition", informed the Director of Sports Noel Gonzalez.
The tournaments will be held every two months, so that the participants have the space to train and better prepare for the upcoming competitions, added González.
“It seems good to me, to get trained and go to the Central American tournament, I have trained and I know that I will become a professional. I am a national champion of the sub 11 and sub 13. It is a healthy sport to come to train”, said Matías Guardado.
During this sporting event, the children, youth and adult categories participated, where they also prepare for the Central American tournament that will take place in Managua.
