Better infrastructure for the boys and girls of the Claudia Chamorro Child Development Center

With folk dances and poems, teachers, boys and girls from the Claudia Chamorro Child Development Center located in District V, received the municipal authorities, on the morning of this Friday, April 12, during a supervision visit to the maintenance works carried out in this children's center.

The visit was carried out by the Secretary of the Managua Council, Jennifer Porras López, who highlighted that in Managua alone the municipality serves 16 Child Development Centers.

"In this center we serve 157 infants, 85 girls and 72 boys, who are cared for by 22 teachers including the school director. This comprehensive care contributes to that human part that our infants require. Here we serve from 7 in the morning until 4:30 in the afternoon, we improved the kitchen infrastructure, we have improved the furniture and the external and internal painting of the entire building,” Porras reported.

Likewise, he detailed that through the 2024 Annual Investment Plan, more than 17 million córdobas will be invested in the 16 Development Centers, improving infrastructure and guaranteeing a healthy and safe environment for boys and girls.

Karla Rebeca Salgado, Director of this Development Center, stated that they spent more than 40 years waiting for the rehabilitation of this school and everything was deteriorated.

“I feel good to have been part of this project, this helps us, they are in a clean, comfortable environment, so they can develop fully, here we have children with special disabilities at all levels, from 1 to 5 years old” .

Educational centers are academic and recreational spaces, where teachers highlight the love, attention and security of childhood.
