Oscar Dávila Child Development Center in District IV completely renovated

A festive morning was experienced this Thursday, April 11, at the Oscar Dávila Child Development Center, located in District IV, during the supervision visit carried out by the municipal authorities, for the improvement works in this space for caring for children and girls.

On this tour, the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, reported that this Child Development Center serves 18 girls and 32 boys, for a total of 50 infants who are in a completely improved school environment.

"Here the renovation that was done was complete, both internal and external painting, repair of everything that is the electrical system, the plumbing system, all the repair of the doors in each of the classrooms of the center, the kitchen is completely renewed, we have been making this investment in each of the centers we serve,” reported the capital official.

He also explained that the municipality serves exactly 16 Child Development Centers and with the support of the Good Government, since 2015 they have a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of the Family, to be able to serve all that demand from the population.

“We have 807 children who are distributed in the different centers, there are 429 boys and 378 girls, we have come with all that attention during all these years and we are very grateful for the trust that our families have given us,” said Mayor Rueda.

For her part, the director of this Children's Center, Gema Esquivel, expressed her gratitude to God and the Sandinista Government for the opportunity it gives her to share daily with each of the boys and girls who attend this school.

"We are trained to serve all the children who attend, here we serve from the ages of 2 to 5 years, the third level child leaves prepared for first grade, we have all the conditions thanks to the improvements that have been made to give the child a comprehensive education,” said Esquivel.

For this year, through the 2024 Annual Investment Plan, the municipality will invest 17 million 601 thousand in the 16 Child Development Centers, with the objective that boys and girls are in protected and quality conditions.
