Institutional football championship begins in its fifth season

On the night of this Thursday, March 21, the fifth edition of the institutional indoor soccer championship began. The sporting event is organized by the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, with the aim of promoting recreation and healthy competition. Compañero Noel González, Sports Director of the municipality, explained that the championship will last 90 days.

"We are inaugurating for the fifth consecutive time, the soccer championship where more than 20 teams from institutions will be participating, we will be playing for more than three months, on the 4 fields that the Mayor's Office has, it is important to note that two will be played rounds all against all and 8 teams will qualify for the final,” González reported.

The matches will be held at the Héroes y Mártires de Batahola, Conchita Palacios, Hugo Chávez Frías sports complexes and the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park.

Mario Gómez, Deputy Secretary of FENIFUT, highlighted the benefits of organizing sports events that promote healthy competition and bonds of friendship between workers from different state institutions.

“As a federation we feel very grateful to the Mayor's Office for having chosen this discipline to promote recreation between institutions and collective work,” said Gómez.

Faisel Selguani, who belongs to the MINSA team, stated that it is a great honor and pride to be part of this institutional league, “we are proud of our Good Government, for supporting the recreational part of young people, we make a space despite our I work very hard, to come and have fun, my expectation is to come and have fun, as Sandinista militants that we are, one team.”

Among the institutions that will compete for first place are INATEC, MINIM, INSS, National Lottery, Public Ministry, TN8, Real Estelí Comunicaciones, UNAN Managua, UNA, Tipitapa Mayor's Office, Municipal Sports Company, IND, among other institutions .
