More than 9 thousand inhabitants of Lomas de Guadalupe will enjoy 11 new blocks

To verify the progress of the works in the different neighborhoods of the capital, this Tuesday, March 19, municipal authorities visited the 11-block road improvement project with a stabilized base of select cement and the application of asphalt coating (cement soil), a new modality of the Streets for the People Program in the Lomas de Guadalupe neighborhood, District VII.

A work that will benefit the residents of the sector and other users of the route, with an investment of 3 million 306 thousand córdobas, which improves the living conditions of 1,550 families (9 thousand 820 inhabitants), who have also benefited from the construction of 19 Decent Homes, reported Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado, during the supervision tour.

"We continue to serve the population, through all the services we have as the Mayor's Office of Managua and above all the projects before, between winter, drainage, road improvement and today we are on this 11-block route in the Lomas neighborhood of Guadalupe, but with these blocks we are serving the Urban Collective Transport route of 103 and 168, there are thousands and thousands of families that travel through this area," highlighted the capital city councilor.

In addition, he shared that with the Annual Investment Plan in this District VII, the municipality will invest 40 million córdobas in the execution of 9 storm drainage and road improvement projects, which include the neighborhoods Annex Villa Libertad, Laureles Sur, Israel Galeano, Villa Venezuela and Villa Revolución.

The families were excited and grateful with the arrival of the project to their community. After living for many years with dirt streets, they will now be able to travel more easily.

“We are super happy, happy, because we have this project that is quite successful for the entire population of this sector and we are grateful first of all to God, to our colleague Reyna Rueda, to our Commander Daniel Ortega, who is making Streets for the People for the benefit of many people, older adults, children, disabled people and that today it is successful for them, for everyone,” said the protagonist Damaris Rodríguez.

To date, this emblematic Streets for the People Program has made 22 percent progress, with 311 blocks of the 1,417 projected.
