The William Sport Departmental Children's Baseball League begins in its third edition

With the participation of 27 teams, the municipal authorities inaugurated the William Sport Departmental Children's Baseball League, at the Hugo Chávez Frías Sports Complex, located in Colonia 14 de Septiembre.

The matches will be held on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, for a month and a half, because in May the National Championship will be held from which the team that will represent Nicaragua in the Latin American Championship will be held, as reported by Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado. .

“We have been with the William Sport Children's League for 3 consecutive years, we have had great results, we want to highlight the discipline and passion that the children have shown, from the northern part of our municipality, districts V, VI and VII are present here, the "The team that leaves here will compete with the team that wins in the Southern League, whoever wins will represent us in the National Championship," stressed the mayor of the capital.

In the Northern League, 620 kids will be participating, the games are organized by a logistics staff of 74 technicians, the competitions will be in the categories: minor (9 to 10 years), major (11 and 12 years), junior (13 and 14 years ) and senior (15 and 16 years old).

In the next few days, the Southern League will be inaugurated, made up of the children's teams from Districts I, II, III and IV.

The coordinator of the 14 de Septiembre academy, Javier Larios, thanked the parents for the unconditional support that makes it possible for the kids to attend the training sessions.

“The children who stand out for their performance are already in a program that the Mayor's Office has, called Good Prospects, there they are followed up, all the children who went to Pennsylvania and who made us proud are in that program, that It is possible thanks to the support of parents who trust in this Good Government and who bring their children, without parents this would not be possible,” said Larios.
