Music and dance at the “Bayardo Ortiz” House of Culture and Creativity

The Mayor's Office of Managua announced the start of registration for the 2024 school year, at the Bayardo Ortiz House of Culture and Creativity, where completely free music and dance courses are offered, as part of the promotion of art and culture promoted by the Good government.

The registration announcement was made this Thursday, January 25, in a cultural atmosphere, in which Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado was present, who shared the course schedules.

"We are going to be teaching dance courses, but also music, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 in the afternoon, children from 8 years old to 18 years old, we also have guitar courses, starting at 1:00 in the afternoon, Tuesday and Wednesday, we have percussion for children from 8 years old and they start at 1:00 in the afternoon, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays,” reported the capital city councilor.

For their part, parents expressed their gratitude to the Sandinista Government for promoting these schools that promote and strengthen national culture and identity.

“I invite all parents to instill culture in our children, because it is the most beautiful thing that represents us as Nicaraguans,” said Mrs. Jacqueline Cuadra.

All of these courses are completely free and inclusive and start in February; This house of culture and creativity is located in front of the IRTRAMMA offices, on the west side of the Carlos Roberto Huembes market and is named after Bayardo Ortiz, in recognition of the legacy left by this prominent Nicaraguan folklorist.
