The municipal authorities welcomed the Yomiuri Gigantes women's baseball team, from the sister country of Japan, at the Augusto César Sandino airport, on the afternoon of this Saturday, January 6, who will be visiting and at the same time carrying out a friendly series with the team of the Women's National Team, in honor of the 90th anniversary of the formation of the Giant of Japan team.

At this reception, Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales reported that the teams will give two exciting and intense nights full of adrenaline. He also highlighted that this is the fourth visit made by the Japanese baseball teams in the history of this sporting discipline.

The friendly series will take place on Tuesday, January 9, at the Roberto Clemente Stadium in the department of Masaya and this Wednesday, January 10, at the Soberanía National Stadium.

This recreational activity is being carried out through the “Floating School on Lake Xolotlán” Project, an action plan that promotes Good Government with the brothers of Japan, thanks to those ties of brotherhood that unite both.
