Municipal markets double sales compared to last year

Prior to Christmas Eve, building authorities visited the municipal markets and shared with the families who visit these shopping centers to purchase clothing, footwear and products for Christmas Eve dinner.

During the tour of the Iván Montenegro market, merchants expressed that sales have exceeded expectations in relation to the same period of the previous year, as expressed by merchant Jorge González, president of the Nicaraguan Merchants Association.

“The strength of our markets is evident, with these investments, with this attention that we have from the entire Mayor's Office and the Central Government, we have almost doubled, at this point, what it was last year, which were 2.8 billion and now we have around 4.8 billion,” said González.

Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado confirmed the supply of products, offers, promotions and improvements in this shopping center, “they have worked hand in hand with the merchants, to dignify the working conditions of these families who work in the municipal markets, as well as to provide a cleaner and safer space for visiting families.”

At the same time, he added that there is an economic dynamization in each of the markets, greater well-being, greater security, because it is not only the attention in each of the establishments, but at the level of the entire structure of each shopping center.
