XXIII International Guitar Festival “Heart of America”

In promotion of culture and in tribute to Lolita Soriano, the godmother of Nicaraguan artists, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, held the XXIII International Guitar Festival, “Heart of America” on the afternoon of this Tuesday, November 21, with the participation of Cuba and Costa Rica.

This concert was attended by Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado, Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales and the Secretary of the Managua Council, Jennifer Porras López, who were delighted with the presentation.

“Very excited by all the achievements we have had in each of the centers that we as the Mayor of Managua serve, today in coordination with the Institute of Culture we are seeing the result of all those efforts, the 23rd festival dedicated to to Lolita Soriano, godmother of Nicaraguan artists and we are here in the museum dedicated to her where her entire historical legacy is remembered,” commented Mayor Rueda.

During this festival there was the participation of national artists, who have been forging their way in Nicaraguan music, such as the soloists Abner Cabrera and the companion Moisés Elías Cruz, as well as the presence of the musician Alejandro Guillén, from the sister Republic of Cuba .

“Representing Cuba a part of who I am, bringing Cuban music. These festivals are very enriching, there will be other countries that take part, all guitarists with experience, guitarists with great quality, it is a way to spread the guitar among young people and new students of music who are being trained in Nicaragua," said the Cuban artist.
