Asphalt resurfacing work is delivered to the families of the Nicarao Colony

The Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, inaugurated with the families of the Nicarao Colony of District V, the asphalt resurfacing of 3 blocks, as part of the 2023 Annual Investment Plan, guaranteeing children, young people, adolescents and older adults to travel with greater security.

During the delivery of the work, on the afternoon of this Thursday, November 16, Mayor Rueda stated that the asphalt on these streets was completely damaged.

“The recarpeting was to replace that old folder, remove it and replace it with a new one, which means that they are new streets that we are delivering to the community of Nicarao, here we made an investment of a little more than 1 million córdobas, There are three blocks and we are serving more than 6,600 protagonists,” reported the mayor of the capital.

He also detailed that, in District V, 53 blocks are being executed in 8 neighborhoods, with an investment of more than 40 million córdobas with the Streets for the People Program.

The happy and satisfied families celebrated this work that brings prosperity for everyone, “these streets were horrible, but thanks to God and the Mayor who ordered these streets to be repaired, due to the situation I am in now I will not fall, “All of this was rife when it rained and in the summer it was pure dust,” said the protagonist Cecilia Mendoza.

With the delivery of this road network, the Streets for the People Program advances with 75.10 percent, for a total of 770 blocks served to date.
