Young people from the capital stand out in the final of the Karate Championship

A total of 78 athletes, from 10 academies in the municipality, participated in the final of the Karate Championship, as part of the Youth Games held in the Central American sports capital.

The España Sports Center became the scene of an event, where young people competed with all their skills in the 39 fights of this final.

“For us as a Federation it has been an achievement, with many successes, we have had 4 stages of competition and today the best in each category are there. We use these events to train, prepare our athletes for international events, such as next year we have the Central American and Caribbean Championships, where we already have 23 countries confirmed to be here, Managua will be the venue in March 2024,” Oscar reported. The athlete Judith Duarte stated that competing in this championship is an opportunity to put into practice her training, her physical condition, technique and resistance, “the truth is that it is super nice, because that is how we all work and make a better effort, to do a better job for Nicaragua.”

This Karate Championship is part of the sports platform that involves more than 100 thousand young athletes, in a period of 6 months and where the passion for sport is promoted and promotes active life in youth.
