This week the consultation process on the Preliminary Draft of the Municipal Budget ended in the seven districts of Managua and to conclude this period, the Ordinary Municipal Council was held on the morning of this Friday, November 10, as a participatory action that includes the population.
This General Council was attended by residents from all districts, who supported the Municipal Budget proposal for the year 2024 and presented their community demands, so that they can be analyzed and incorporated into the Annual Investment Plan.
The Municipal Budget proposal for 2024 is 12,104,277,475 córdobas, which represents a growth of 26% in relation to the previous year's projection. Likewise, it contemplates the execution of 518 projects, of which 223 road works, 103 storm drainage works, 12 environmental works, 14 water and sanitation works, 124 urban equipment and 42 human development, works and investment projects in the different city districts.
During the presentation, Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado expressed that this budget was built with the proposals of the population.
“All those opinions, all those demands, that have been coming for years and that is the fulfillment that we have, that is the commitment to continue fulfilling the needs of the population, and now our Good Government, through the Mayor's Office, bringing more homes, more drainage projects, more road improvement works, more sanitary sewers, lining of channels, bringing security and well-being to families, through each of the projects that we as the Mayor's Office execute in each of the districts," said the mayor. capital.
