Families express their concerns in the Presentation of the Preliminary Draft Municipal Budget in District II

To give continuity to the programs and projects, the Managua Council held the Consultative Town Hall this Friday, October 20, with residents of District II, to present the Draft General Income and Expenditure Budget for the year 2024.

“This coming year, in this year 2024 we will be able to have 12 thousand 104 million 277 thousand 475 córdobas, for progress works, development works of the municipality of Managua, we will be able to continue working on parks, we will continue working on the route impressive that it has been maintained in all these years of making more than 1,000 streets per year,” reported Vice Mayor Armas.

At the same time, he highlighted that in District II there are very important works for next year; in the Santa Ana, Motastepe, Carlos Núñez, Julio Buitrago neighborhoods and that a Citizen Attention Center will be built in Villa Virgen de Guadalupe.

Martha Oporta, a resident of the Batahola neighborhood of District II, stated that these meetings with the authorities are important, because they serve for the population to express their concerns and the Government to continue addressing their demands.

“We are seeing the buses, the streets, the parks, the schools, the different programs, deliveries of chairs, packages, glasses, all the programs that exist and that our Government has been developing,” said Oporta.

In District II alone, through the PIA 2024, the municipality contemplates the execution of 13 projects, with an investment of 13 million 600 thousand córdobas, which will benefit the families of the different neighborhoods in this sector of the capital.
