Authorities from the capital inaugurate the Tenth Federated Minor Baseball League

With the participation of 48 teams from the different neighborhoods of the capital, the Managua Mayor's Office inaugurated on the afternoon of this Saturday, August 12, the Tenth Federated Minor Baseball League, at the Comandante Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías Sports Center.

The activity was chaired by Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales, who announced that this is the league with the most teams nationwide and there are more than 900 players playing in this tournament, between the ages of 6 and 16.

At the same time, he pointed out that, for five months, the players will give the best of their abilities and the teams that win will participate in the national championships.

Among the participating teams are the Roberto Clemente School, Georgino Andrade, Marines Villa Progreso, Hugo Chávez, Manuel Cuarezma, the Tigres 380, Gigantes de San Judas, Managua City Hall, among others.

Keren Munguía, who plays in the AA children's category of the Gigantes de San Judas team, stated that there are hundreds of children in her baseball academy, “baseball inspired me because I began to win many games in the leagues and in championships, so I am going to continue playing this sport and having fun every day that there is a game”.

The municipality with these sports leagues guarantees healthy recreation spaces for children and adolescents, which will allow them to stay healthy and develop their talents in the King of Nicaragua sport.
