In coordination with the organized community, the Mayor's Office of Managua became protagonists of the right to marriage of the elderly, made up of Mr. Trinidad Miranda García and Mrs. Damaris Miranda, with the construction of their new home in the Las Torres neighborhood of the District IV.
The keys to this Decent Housing were handed over to the leading couple by Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales, who expressed the Good Government's commitment to continue executing this type of program, which dignifies the quality of life of these families.
More than 200 Decent Homes have been built in the Las Torres neighborhood, reducing vulnerability in the rainy season and in the last 3 years, the municipality has also made significant investments in public infrastructure, through the asphalt coating of 15 blocks, highlighted the Capital Vice Mayor.
It has been a great relief to receive her new house, expressed the protagonist Damaris Miranda, “look, my house turned out really nice and now I won't get wet anymore, I'll sleep peacefully and I won't have that worry, because before in the back All the water passed me by, but thank God they gave me this beautiful house and that makes me very happy”.
The Sandinista Government in the municipality of Managua has built a little more than 13,000 Solidarity Homes, from 2009 to date, guaranteeing immediate and timely attention to families in critical social emergency, better living conditions for the same number of families who before they lived in difficult situations.
The delivery of the house was carried out in a family and community environment, with a day of medical attention, cultural activity with clowns painting faces and piñatas for the boys and girls of this sector.
