









Through the Special Plan of Streets for the People, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua executes a road improvement work that will cover 6 streets, in the Villa Venezuela neighborhood of the VII district of Managua.
The asphalt coating work was supervised on the morning of this Thursday, August 3, by Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who announced that this project will directly benefit 7,028 families.
“Families have been waiting for a work like this for 50 years, to improve the living conditions of more than 39 thousand leading brothers and sisters, this work will be ready to be delivered next week,” reported Mayor Rueda.
At the same time, he highlighted that the project has an investment of 7 million 653 thousand córdobas and that the Streets for the People Program is advancing successfully with 425.47 streets served, which means 41.51 percent.
Graciela del Carmen Pérez, a resident of this sector, thanked for this project that brings well-being to families and improves vehicle access.
"The caponeras and ambulances will now be able to enter, many older adults circulate in these streets, we have a school where the children go to receive their classes and this will be better, these streets were horrible, pure stones, vehicles could not transit and now we will have a better environment,” said Pérez.
From 2009 to date, the municipality has invested 37 million 18 thousand 519 córdobas in this neighborhood, in road improvement works, storm drainage, construction of a bay for buses on the main street of this neighborhood, as well as the construction of 19 Decent Housing, benefiting families that for many years lived in precarious conditions.
