Managua authorities accompany the families in the descent of the image of the Patron Saint of the capital

Faith, love and joy were shared by the municipal authorities when they accompanied the devotees and promises to the descent of their altar of the image of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, in the church of Las Sierritas, preparing it for the traditional tour that will take place this 01 August, the date on which the 10-day stay in the capital begins.

During this religious event expected every year by the citizens of the capital, the Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado, Mayordoma of the Traditional Festivals of Managua, pointed out how important it is to celebrate these festivals in peace, with faith and family unity.

"We feel honored and privileged to listen to the word of God in family union where all the promises, sisters and brothers accompanied by Cardinal Leopoldo Brenes, as we listen to those words that reach our hearts to the call for peace, unity and brotherhood between us, to celebrate these Traditional Festivals of Managua” shared Mayor Rueda.

Likewise, the mayor of the capital stressed that all security measures are being taken, so that these days of celebration are developed in an atmosphere of tranquility, "we are working together with our National Police, the White Cross, the Nicaraguan Fire Department and has It's been a success every year."

Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua mentioned that one of the things that stands out the most in these festivities is to see how the promising ones get excited from the beginning of the days to the end.

"We are going to enjoy some patron saint festivities in style from the first to the tenth, all these activities that are oriented to celebrate by our Government of Commander Daniel and Compañera Rosario," Armas said.

For his part, the Archbishop of Managua, Cardinal Leopoldo Brenes, shared that this joy and fervor have been transmitted from generation to generation and that they have been celebrating for more than 130 years.
