Wholesale market merchants will have better working conditions

As part of the citizen power and direct democracy model, city authorities visited the Wholesale Market, where they talked with merchants and announced important investments in infrastructure works for this populous shopping center in the capital city.

The visit was headed by comrade Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua, who announced that the Good Government, through the Municipal Corporation of Managua Markets (COMMEMA) is executing development works.

"The access roads to the market are being improved, gates are being installed to give merchants and buyers greater security, a shed is being built and we have another one planned to be built in the coming weeks, these last 2 years have been a lot of work and improvements in the 8 municipal markets”, reported the Vice Mayor.

He also explained that this market has 13 sectors and houses 2,401 fixed sections and 350 eventual ones, where significant investments have been made in infrastructure works to dignify the work environment of merchants.

For their part, the merchants were happy with the announcement and expressed their satisfaction with the different works that have been carried out in the municipal markets, which have been in consensus with their proposals and needs.
