The Mayor's Office of Managua continues to guarantee security to families who have lost their homes or who have lived in vulnerable conditions for many years, this time turning Mrs. Mayra Mercedes Salgado, inhabitant of the Valle Dorado Annex, into a legal protagonist with Dignified Housing. District II.

The delivery of the keys to this new home was attended by Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who explained that the protagonist lost her old home due to the strong winds and rains on June 21, which caused a tree to fall on her humble home. .

"The tree fell on top of the house and was completely destroyed, it was a total loss, thanks to that community organization through our District II, we immediately went to attend to the case of Doña Mayra and today with great joy we are handing over the totally new house, and she will not get wet, she will no longer be with that anguish that the roof is going to fall on her, thanks to that immediate attention, "said the mayor of the capital.

And after that mishap, today Mrs. Mayra Salgado, thanked God and the Good Government for the attention received, "immediately the Mayor's Office proceeded, the delegate acted and the next day they were already building my house."

The 53-year-old protagonist works selling used clothes in the Oriental Market and will live in her new home with the only partner she has had for most of her life, her 19-year-old son.

In the Anexo Valle Dorado neighborhood, the municipality has delivered two homes through the Decent Housing Program, while in the capital more than 13,000 homes have been built.
