For this year 2023, the Good Government, through the Municipal Corporation of Managua Markets (COMMEMA), will invest 83 million córdobas for the execution of works in the 8 markets of the capital.
This announcement was made during the visit made by Jennifer Porras López, Secretary of the Managua Council, to the Carlos Roberto Huembes market, as part of the direct communication with the merchants and in compliance with the Citizen Power model.
"Giving support to all the families that visit our popular shopping centers, this alliance has been fundamental, through the investment plans we have been able to rehabilitate different areas in our markets, in this Huembes market we currently have the construction of the rain gutter in In the vegetable sector, we will have the repair of 17 gates and the rehabilitation of ramps for people with disabilities,” reported Porras.
The merchants of this market were satisfied with the works that have been carried out, as expressed by the merchant Hazel Medina, "we feel supported, they have made many improvements, it helps us because that is how more tourists come."
