Amateur boxing billboard in tribute to three-time world champion Alexis Argüello

With an electrifying amateur boxing billboard, the Mayor's Office of Citizen Power of Managua commemorated the fourteenth anniversary of the passage to immortality of the "Knight of the Ring", Alexis Argüello, on the night of this Friday, June 30, at the Nicarao Boxing Gym.

"He really is our greatest exponent of Nicaraguan sports and we must follow in his footsteps, follow the legacy of Alexis Argüello, giving and creating the best opportunities, building a better future for generations in sports," said González.

During this sporting event, 12 young people over the age of 13 participated, who gave 6 exciting fights.

“We know that many athletes are going to go long, we may have a world champion in the coming years and our job is always for them to remember how Alexis Argüello did it for the love of the people, in humility and with love for Nicaragua and of course, also the good will of our Sandinista Government”, expressed Daniel Sequeira, coordinator of the Alexis Argüello Sports Movement.
