More than 100 athletes start the Judoka Competitions with great expectations

With a lot of energy and youthful enthusiasm, the first judo competition of the 2023 Youth Games began, organized by the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua and the Judo Federation of Nicaragua, an activity in which more than 100 judokas between the ages of 7 and 16 participated. old.

This tournament was held on Saturday June 10 in greeting to the second anniversary of the Leones Azules academy and was held at the Los Quinchos school in the San Judas neighborhood, with the participation of athletes from the Leones Azules, La Primavera, Raidy and Jefte from Managua, as well as from the Ciudad Sandino academy; These children and young people competed in women's and men's competitions, with the aim of gaining more experience and training in this sport.

This activity was attended by Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales, who stated that there are more and more boys and girls practicing sports "that makes us very happy, that is the orientation that Commander Daniel and Compañera Rosario gave us, to integrate more boys, girls, boys and girls, to the practice of sport”.

The young judoka Andrea Gaitán said she was happy to participate in this sporting event, "what caught my attention about judo were the acrobatics, projections and values left by our teacher Kanō Jigorō."

The development of the Youth Games contributes to the promotion of young talent in the capital city, expanding the seedbed of athletes and training new sports stars; which guarantees entertainment, fun and opportunities for the integration of young people.
