Williamsport Little League National Championship Kicks Off

The Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, through the Sports Directorate, inaugurated the Williamsport Little League National Championship, Major category, to choose the representative of Nicaragua in the Latin American Championship to be held in Maracaibo, Venezuela.

"We are happy here to be sharing the inauguration of the Williamsport Little League national championship for children from 11 to 12 years old, it is a tough tournament this weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday," said the Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas Rosales.

In this children's tournament, 10 clubs will participate and will be played in two venues, in the Roberto Clemente Stadium, located in the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores Park, and in the ENEL Central field.

Among the participating teams will be Estelí, Matagalpa, Teustepe, Nandaime, Rivas, Chontales, León, Chinandega, two clubs from Managua, including the representation of September 14, which went to the Williamsport World Cup in Pennsylvania.
