Municipality shares experiences and progress with officials from Medellín, Colombia

Peace, dignity, prosperity, security and future, was what the municipal authorities of Managua, Masaya, León, Granada and Rivas presented, during a meeting held in the Auditorium of the Japan-Nicaragua Park with high-level officials of the Medellín Mayor's Office, Colombia.

In the presentation, the capital city highlighted that the strategies for change, progress and advances in recreational spaces are part of the public policies that the Good Government has carried out from 2007 to date, so that Nicaraguan families can enjoy healthy recreation.

The Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, reported that in 2019 she had the opportunity to share with the brothers of the Medellín Mayor's Office, about the changes and lessons that the Sandinista Government is carrying out through the victories programs that dignify lives of families.

"It really is an enriching change, we as Nicaragua are going to learn a lot from the advances and rescue of public spaces, as well as the great experience that the different types of transport that are very advanced in Medellín have in mobility, so this meeting that it will be a mutual learning, as Nicaragua we have highlighted that here we work with an exchange method articulated with the central government and that is what inspires our model”, said Rueda.

The Ambassador of Colombia, León Freddy Muñoz, shared that it was important to know the experiences of the advances that the Nicaraguan brothers have experienced.

"It is an honor to be here with the Nicaraguan people and to know how they have struggled to have their dignity, sharing the initiatives is very important not only for Nicaragua but also for us, to seek the brotherhood of the peoples, we appreciate the invitation of President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo," Muñoz said.
