Families from the 30 de Mayo neighborhood of District V will be the new protagonists of the Streets for the People 2023 Program, with the asphalt coating of 5 blocks, as reported by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, during a supervision visit.
“In this 30 de Mayo neighborhood, we have made significant progress in the treatment of each of its streets, we have made progress in the well-being of families, through the Calles Pueblo Program, we have also built 25 Decent Homes, including drainage works and road improvement," said Rueda.
The mayor of the capital added that the project has an investment of 4 million 320 thousand córdobas and will directly benefit 3 thousand 785 protagonists.
Martha Pérez, a resident of this neighborhood, affirmed that the work changes their lives, "we are happy, we are going to have clean streets, new streets, we are no longer going to walk in the mud, we hope that everything will be fine."
"I feel grateful for what the Mayor is doing, happy for my entire community, that they are going to travel through better streets, we are improving and we are seeing them," said the protagonist Dámaso Rueda.
