VI Sock Ball Baseball Championship

Promoting sports and healthy recreation, the Good Government, through the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, organized the Sixth Sock Ball Baseball Championship, in which 8 teams will compete for first place in this tournament, which will take place in the Roberto Clemente children's stadium in the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park.

This sports league was inaugurated by Compañero Noel González, Sports Director of the municipality, who informed that game days will be Thursday and Friday, for 3 months, starting at 6:00 in the afternoon.

"One more sock ball championship, these recreation spaces are provided by the Good Government of Commander Daniel and Compañera Rosario for all Nicaraguans and especially in these facilities that have several sports venues," González said.

Among the participating teams are Benemérito Fire Department, Halcones of Channel 4, Channel 6, Channel 8, Eventos, Team Nica, Los Brothers and Pinoleros.

The participants in this championship were happy and optimistic about the tournament, in which, in addition to practicing this sport, it helps them to recreate and get out of the routine, as expressed by Nesmer Rodríguez, "this is a space that the Sandinista Government It gives us to come to de-stress, to share with colleagues, we are workers of some media and of course promoting healthy fun”.
