The National Housing Program “Nuevas Victorias” begins

With the support of the People's Republic of China, the Government of Nicaragua launched the "New Victories" National Housing Program, which will be implemented in 84 municipalities of the country.

This program plans to build 12,034 homes throughout the national territory and in its first phase the construction of 920 homes in Managua is expected, benefiting the same number of families involved.

The inauguration was presided over by Comrade Luo Zhaohui, President of the Chinese Agency for International Development Cooperation (CIDCA), Comrade Laureano Ortega Murillo, Presidential Adviser for the Promotion of Investments, Trade and International Cooperation, Comrade Iván Acosta, Minister of Finance and Public Credit, Retired General Oscar Mojica, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, Comrade Mr. Chen Xi, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Nicaragua, Comrade Fidel Moreno Briones, Secretary General of the municipality and the compañera Mayoress from Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado.

With this program, the strengthening of the ties of friendship and brotherhood between Nicaragua and the People's Republic of China is achieved, in this new stage of bilateral relations and in this inaugural act.

For his part, comrade Luo Zhaohui, President of CIDCA, explained that cooperation between China and Nicaragua is the development of joint work, to achieve faster and more sustainable development.

“After in-depth exchanges and analysis, we have confirmed the intention to build houses to improve the conditions of the vulnerable Nicaraguan people and reach a national planning of houses for all. China deeply appreciates the unconditional and firm support of the Nicaraguan government on issues of interest to China's core, especially the issue of Taiwan," Zhaohui said.

Comrade Laureano Ortega said that since the resumption of relations with the People's Republic of China, many collaborative achievements have been made in the areas of health, education, culture, and security.

“And here we are advancing hand in hand with the People's Republic of China, receiving an extremely important delegation these days, chaired by Comrade Luo Zhaohui, who has had that summit meeting with our President, Commander Daniel and our Vice President, Compañera Rosario, We have reaffirmed our friendship and a path for the development of projects”, affirmed Ortega.

Likewise, Retired General Oscar Mojica stated that "we began the construction of 920 houses corresponding to the first phase of the first stage of the program, with the confidence of quality and dynamism that characterizes the fraternal relations of China and Nicaragua, the past On April 14, we have signed the act for the study and implementation of the preparations to build the second phase of 720 additional homes in Managua”.
