IX Basketball Tournament "Luisa Amanda Espinoza"

Promoting the participation of women in different sports disciplines, the Managua Mayor's Office organized the ninth edition of the “Luisa Amanda Espinoza” women's basketball league, in which 11 teams will participate.

This tournament will have the defending monarch Real Estelí and the contenders No Fear, Leonas ALMA, Jaguares UAM, Raptors de Tipitapa, Eagles de Mateare, Panteras de Ciudad Sandino, UNAN Managua, Marly's and the preselections Nicaragua U15 and Nicaragua U17, there are 140 registered athletes representing 17 municipalities in the country, with an average age of 20.

The activity was presided over by the Secretary of the Managua Council, Jennifer Porras López, who stated that they have participated in nine consecutive years, "in which we have been promoting this sports culture in youth, childhood and adolescence, but above all in the female gender, which is one of the great things that Good Government highlights”.
