Promoting more spaces for healthy recreation, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua inaugurated this Monday, March 13, the Institutional Women's Volleyball League, where 10 teams from different institutions participate.
This tournament will last three to four months and will take place on the fields of the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores and Telcor park, informed the Secretary of the Managua Council, Jennifer Porras López.
"Accompanying all these women who perform different functions in our government institutions, women who are committed to their work, as well as to their family, but who also seek spaces to share," said Porras.
The capital official stressed that this league will take place on Mondays and Thursdays, starting at 6 pm, a period in which the participating teams will compete for first place.
Noel González, Director of Sports of the commune, pointed out that these leagues have been held for several years now, "the girls are happy with these spaces that are offered to them and that is the important thing, because after their workday they come to have fun, take off work stress and that is what we are looking for and above all to give them the opportunity to represent their institutions and hold them up”.
“As workers, housewives and mothers, we come to have fun, the Good Government is promoting sport a lot and we really like coming,” said Karen Somarriba from the Enel Central team.
During the competition, the teams of ENEL, IPSA, UNA, MHCP, TELCOR, INSS, DGA, EAAI, National Police, among others, will play.
