Good Government fulfills the dream of a home of their own for 100 families in Villa de Santiago

In homage to the legacy of the General of Free Men and Women Augusto C. Sandino, this Tuesday, February 21, the date on which the 89th anniversary of his passage to immortality is commemorated, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua delivered 100 new homes, to through the Bismarck Martínez Program in the Villa de Santiago urbanization, located in District VI.

With this new installment, the urbanization has 271 leading families living in this area of the capital, as confirmed by Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado.

"Today the dream of families who yearn to have their own home came true, thanks to the political will of our Good Government, which seeks alternatives and strategies to restore the rights of families to have a decent roof, today we honor General of Free Men and Women with this delivery, on this day with demands that Sandino dreamed of and that all our heroes and martyrs dreamed of,” said Rueda.

He also explained that the urbanization has basic services installed, streets and hydraulic concrete platforms, at the same time he confirmed that the municipality will continue to carry out projects that guarantee progress in the different urbanizations that have the Bismarck Martínez Program.

The new beneficiaries of the housing program add up to 3,300 leading families.

Juan Alexander Chavarría, on behalf of the protagonists, offered the words of thanks during the delivery.

“At some point someone told me if things are done well, they are done well. And I believe that at this time we are experiencing the good management of our President, of our Mayor's Office, to do things well done and these houses are proof of all this. I feel very grateful for all this that we are receiving and for the other people who are also being benefited”, expressed Chavarría.

Cynthia Romero, along with her husband and their two children, was one of the beneficiary families. She has had to rent for 10 years and as of this week she will live in her own home.

"I feel happy and grateful to our Government, only Commander Daniel could make the dream of all of us possible, to have our own house with a favorable monthly payment, that in other times simply did not exist," said Romero.

The new homes have a constructive area of 54 square meters, with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, as well as a living room, kitchen, dining room and fully plastered walls.
