





In commemoration of the 89th anniversary of the passage to immortality of General Augusto C. Sandino and the army defending national sovereignty, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, presented the collection of 45 digitized books and magazines with the motto "Sandino, Victorious Hero about the Yankee Invader”.
The presentation was held this Friday, February 17, in the replica of the Blanca Arauz House Museum on Paseo Xolotlán, where Dr. Jorge Eduardo Arellano, Secretary of the Academy of Geography and History of Nicaragua, gave a magnificent presentation on the General of Men Free.
This activity was attended by the Vice Mayor, Enrique Armas Rosales, who expressed that it is a unique production, which can be purchased completely free of charge by accessing the Municipality's website and will facilitate access for children, youth, adults and future generations who want to know and find out more about the history.
"Today 45 digitized publications are being delivered to various cultural and educational institutions, so that they can make use of this tool, this is a new effort that has been carried out in coordination with the esteemed fellow experts in the field, to fill more information in the libraries of educational centers throughout the country," said Armas.
Representatives of the different educational institutions were very happy to receive this informative material, as stated by Omar Antonio Castro, Rector of the Nicaraguan Evangelical University.
"This means an extraordinary job by the Managua Mayor's Office, this is a dream come true, a CD that contains books of transcendental importance, to understand the heroic deed of our General of Free Men, Augusto César Sandino," Castro said.
All the works compiled in the informative disc talk about the ideals, teachings and how his guerrilla fight managed to get the troops of the invaders to leave the country.
