







With the participation of 20 teams from different municipalities in Nicaragua, the eighth edition of the "Carlos Ulloa" Superior Men's Basketball Tournament in Memoriam began on Saturday night, February 11, in the cathedral of this sport, the Alexis Argüello Sports Center.
The current champion of this tournament is Real Estelí, which will seek to maintain its hegemony in Nicaraguan basketball and defend its title against Los Tigres de Chinandega, Brumas de Jinotega, Indigenous people of Matagalpa, Leones de la Alcaldía de Managua, Indigenas de San Isidro, Golden B, Jaguares UAM, UNAN-Managua, Masatepe, Tipitapa, Malpaisillo, La Paz Centro, Bonanza, Estelí, La Libertad, Chontales, Sébaco, the Caribbean Coast, San Judas K8, Jaguares UAM and Jass.
"Committed to continue accompanying them, 20 teams present from the different municipalities, a tournament that will last 4 months every Saturday and Sunday in the 16 venues throughout the national territory, for families to enjoy and support them, it has really been a success, it could not be possible without the unconditional support of Commander Daniel and our Vice President, Compañera Rosario, we are doing sports in all disciplines”, said Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado.
He also explained that in this tournament there are 60 new underage players, as part of their projection and preparation for this sport.
The final of the Tournament is scheduled for the month of June and the games will be broadcast online on the official page of the tournament, pages of the participating teams and the results will also be published immediately.
