Consecutively, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, continues to carry out environmental awareness days in different roads of the capital, to promote care and preservation of the environment, with the "Clean City, Capital of All" Campaign.
The day was held on the morning of this Thursday, February 2, in the Plaza de las Victorias sector and was accompanied by Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales, who called on the public to be agents of change, adopting measures to avoid dirtying the city.
“We are in this intense day handing out these reusable bags, so that colleagues avoid using plastic bags, which do so much damage to our city, to the environment, cause us too much trouble, force us to do extreme work to clean our downspouts, but Using these little bags we are going to get fully involved in this campaign to keep our Managua cleaner,” said Armas.
They are ecological bags that were delivered to the drivers of the Collective, Selective Urban Transport, to the drivers of minibuses, to the users of transport and in the coming days this journey will continue in other main points, highlighted the mayor of the capital.
"It's good to educate people not to throw garbage, the city would really look more beautiful," said driver Mariano Rodríguez.
