The training will be reactivated in the Roberto Huembes, Iván Montenegro and Roger Deshon gyms, with opening hours from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., registrations They are always open and are totally free, said Deputy Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales.
"Today we are starting the activity in the boxing academies of the Mayor's Office of Managua, Commander Daniel and Compañera Rosario have guided us to continue more and more active the factories of champions and champions, because now we also have women's boxing, here in Nicaragua, in our gyms and also in the Alexis Argüello Cup”, highlighted Armas.
The mayor of the capital affirmed that these boxing academies have expert trainers such as Yambito Gamboa, Gustavo Herrera, Marlon Amador, among other boxing greats, who have come out of these gyms.
Byron Baquedano, 14 years old, is one of the youngsters who is part of the academies at the Iván Montenegro gym and stated that he has been practicing this sport since he was 8 years old, "I have about 16 fights with this tournament, thank God, I I am preparing physically and mentally, with our training with Marlon Amador and here we are trying to win the fight”.
