Goalkeepers of the municipal academies prepared for their training

This Tuesday, January 24, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, inaugurated the start of classes in the first Specialized Academy for Goalkeepers, located in the Conchita Palacios Sports Complex.

The Municipality, through the Sports Directorate, continues to add efforts to promote and expand the sport in its different disciplines and from 2021 new talents are being sought under the three sticks, in this first goalkeeper academy, stated the Secretary of the Managua Council , Jennifer Porras Lopez.

He also highlighted that, to date, this academy has 45 students, including children, adolescents and young people between the ages of 7 and 17, "the classes are completely free and are taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:00: 00 in the afternoon”.

Danny Téllez "La Pantera" is in charge of this academy and is the one who will transmit his knowledge and experiences to these new talents.

"There is no excuse for not doing sports, here children are trained as people and as good athletes, the important thing is to get good goalkeepers for our country, who reach national teams and if it is outside the country, better," said Téllez.
