Start of the Third Women's Volleyball League

With the participation of 10 teams from different parts of the country, the inauguration of the Third Women's Volleyball League of the First Division was held this Saturday, January 21, at the España Sports Center.

During the inauguration, Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales highlighted that it begins with the double National Women's Volleyball Championship of the First Division and the U19 National Championship.

“A total of 10 teams participating in this great event that will have matches every weekend, during January, February, March and April, broadcasts through the channel of the Nicaraguan Olympic Committee, the National Volleyball, the Managua City Hall, We are going to closely follow volleyball this year, now or never for the girls' volleyball championships, which are inaugurating their championship today with the backing of the government of Commander Daniel and Compañera Rosario, and in the coming days we will reactivate men's volleyball, which has been going on for a few years. shocking,” said Armas.

Part of the participating teams in this new edition are: the Leonas de Managua, current monarchs of Nicaraguan volleyball, Jaguares de la UAM, Frente Sur Rivas, Real Estelí, Panteras de Managua, Tiburonas de Granada, Indigenas de Matagalpa, Tigresas de Chinandega, Unan Managua and Brumas de Jinotega.

The Lions of the Mayor's Office of Managua will play their home matches at the España Sports Center, and the Managua Panthers will also be making their presentation, which will be based at the Volleyball Gym, located at the Nicaraguan Sports Institute

"The amount of support we have received is important, mainly from the Managua Mayor's Office, how volleyball has grown, this is the third edition, promoting young talent, that opens the way for them to be national teams later and that we can give the face for the country”, expressed María José Rivera.
