The Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, inaugurated a new warehouse in sector Z of the Iván Montenegro market, with an investment of 1,873,857 córdobas, which is part of the 2023 Annual Investment Plan.
During the inauguration, Mayor Rueda highlighted that these works are part of the direct communication, during the visits that are made to these shopping centers, to see the needs and demands of the merchants.
"We are delivering a shed that will directly benefit 48 brothers and sisters who were previously out in the open offering their products, vegetables, fruits, which we use in our homes and at good prices, it is 25 meters long by 9 meters wide, families that are now indoors, protected from the rain and the sun,” said Rueda.
Thank God the merchants gave for receiving this new work, "they made this purpose come true, also thanks to the President who sent us this project and to continue forward, because before we got wet and sunbathed, now we already have a roof," said the merchant of vegetables, Martín Huete Castellón.
In 2022, the Municipality inaugurated a Solid Waste Collection Center, which is guaranteeing 12 new jobs, the work had an investment of 5 million córdobas and benefits 1,676 merchants.
