An important hydraulic and road work inaugurated the Municipality this Friday, January 13, between the V and VII districts of Managua, through the construction of a vehicular bridge, which unites the Enrique Smith, Ciudadela Nicaragua and 13 de Mayo neighborhoods.
This work was inaugurated and delivered to the families of this sector, by Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who expressed the importance of this road improvement and storm drainage project, through which a critical point due to flooding in the area is eliminated.
Likewise, he expressed that this project contemplates the construction of a bridge box of 20.5 meters in length, by 3 meters in width; as well as the stabilization of the slopes of the channel, with concrete slabs and the construction of a gabion wall.
Similarly, he announced that 204 linear meters of paved streets are covered, 395 linear meters of ditches and 364 square meters of platforms are being built; as well as the installation of 659 meters of 6-inch pipes and 110 household connections, to the sanitary sewer system.
For the families of these communities, this work is transformative and of great benefit to them; This was expressed by Mrs. Gloria López, a resident of the Enrique Smith neighborhood, who said that this project improves their living conditions, “before we had to go through a quagmire and over a pedestrian bridge and climb some stairs and now we can walk without any difficulty, for which we thank the Sandinista Government for the work that it has been carrying out for the benefit of all families in the capital.”
Magnificent progress in the neighborhoods, laudable work.
