Merchants of the Wholesale Market inaugurate restoration works in the winery number 2

To the rhythm of philharmonic music, wholesale market merchants together with municipal authorities inaugurated the restoration works carried out on the entire metal structure of warehouse number 2, located on the north side of this shopping center.

The project that was executed by the commune, was carried out with the objective of improving the working conditions of 85 merchants who have been working in the sale of perishables (vegetables, legumes, fruits), at this same point, for 30 years.

The delivery of the work was carried out by Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales, who explained that this project was part of the project portfolio of the 2022 Annual Investment Plan.

"We are celebrating the restoration of the roof of warehouse number 2, this project confirms once again that the government of Commander Daniel and Compañera Rosario supports the merchants in the markets, this is part of the projects that are being carried out in all markets, you have seen the improvements and the new streets that are being made,” said Armas.

Freddy Casco, General Director of Commema, shared that 4 projects were carried out in the Wholesale market last year and the reconstruction of the warehouse was ready in the first half of December.

"3 thousand square meters of roof were changed, the entire metal structure was restored, the work has an investment of 4 million córdobas, this project was financed with the money that the merchants pay for each of its sections, soon we will be building two new galleys here in the Wholesale, to benefit 100 merchants this year and we will be executing 12 new projects in the 8 markets”, he added.

Last year, the Municipality invested 80 million córdobas in the 8 markets of Managua, to guarantee better conditions for the merchants and families that visit these popular shopping centers.
