Authorities of the municipality of Managua take possession of their positions

On the morning of this January 10, the inauguration and swearing-in of the municipal authorities took place, who will be in charge of the capital's commune in the next 5 years, to give continuity to the execution of projects and programs for the benefit of the development of the city.

 

The Municipal Government will be headed by Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado, Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales and Secretary of the Council, Jennifer Porras López, for the period 2023-2027.

Before the first Extraordinary Session, authorities of the Supreme Electoral Council swore in the Municipal Collegiate Body.

"We as municipal authorities, articulated with the central government, the commitment we have is the continuity of bringing well-being and security to families, through the projects and programs that we have already announced, prior to our work plan for the next 5 years", shared Mayor Rueda.

The mayor of the capital, stated that there are more than 2,000 projects of the different components such as: storm drainage, sanitary sewer, road improvement, programs and housing solutions with the Bismarck Martínez project, "more than 5,000 blocks in the coming years we are going to bring to the different neighborhoods and communities, 20 thousand homes, building and delivering to the families that have had confidence and faith in the strategies and policies articulated with the central government and our municipality”.

For his part, Vice Mayor Armas expressed that it has been everyone's effort to have a cleaner, more beautiful Managua, with more infrastructure, parks, recreational facilities and now more Houses of Culture, "we are ready to continue doing a good job , with all our best efforts to move our Managua forward and let us continue to enjoy this beautiful city, pride of the capital and all Nicaraguans”.
