Third Anniversary of the ALMA Mini Volleyball Academy

Contributing to the promotion of sports in its different disciplines, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua held this Saturday, December 17, a Mini Volleyball Festival for the third anniversary of this municipal academy that has more than 100 athletes.

This festival was attended by 12 women's teams and 3 men's teams that seek to debut in the highest category in this sport, of which 5 belong to the children's category.

The Secretary of the Managua Council, Jennifer Porras López, expressed that it is one more strategy of the Good Government to promote sports and healthy recreation in Nicaraguan children and youth.

"To promote sports, healthy recreation in children and young people, today we have the support of 4 departments such as Granada, Estelí, Rivas, Carazo that more than 160 girls and boys are participating, in addition there will be the representation of the departments de Rivas, Estelí, Carazo and 4 academies of this sport in Managua”.

He also highlighted that this sports day will take place on Saturday and Sunday, celebrating the 3 years of the formation of the academy in the modern volleyball courts of the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores Park.

"I have learned to have discipline, respect, to control my temper, adopt an attitude and character in the game," said young Martha Monzón.
