



Prioritizing the safety and well-being of families in the capital, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua is executing emergency projects, through the Stabilization of Slope with Gabions on the slopes of the channel located in the Sector 17 neighborhood, in District V of the capital .
The work, which has 3 stages, was supervised on the afternoon of this Thursday, November 23, by Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who announced that the project consists of stabilizing 72 linear meters of riverbed, with an investment of 615,250 córdobas. , which benefits 1,106 protagonists, divided into 158 families.
“Initially we had in our 2022 budget a planning with 122 projects in attention to storm drainage, these projects are part of the concern of our Good Government to allocate more resources to bring security, stability to the families of our municipality, however, With the passage of Storm Julia and the damages at various points, we annexed 23 projects, which means that there are 145 projects, with more than 188 million córdobas,” added Rueda.
He highlighted that since 2009 the 58 critical points that District V had have been attended to and currently there are only 18 points that continue to be worked on, mainly where families live near the slopes of the riverbeds, such as Sector 17 in the that the work that affected 8 homes is being completed.
With the execution of the project, the families already feel calmer and safer, as expressed by the beneficiary Teresa de Jesús Mendoza, "it benefits us a lot, because we were very worried about the hurricane that happened, from there it began to collapse and the affliction of it was for us to continue, now we are grateful because they already solved us, this is on the way ".
