In response to the families affected by the winter season, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua executes mitigation works in the San José de la Cañada region, through the construction of 2 retaining walls with gabions, to guarantee the protection of 1,000 462 inhabitants of this community in District III of Managua.
The work was supervised by Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales, who reported that it is part of the emergency projects that are being carried out to reduce the risks and vulnerability of the inhabitants of these communities.
"We have been working here for 2 weeks, stabilizing the slopes of the channel, a special budget of almost 800,000 córdobas is being used, which will bring peace of mind and security to the inhabitants of the area, works directed by Commander Daniel and the Compañera Rosario”, Armas shared.
Likewise, he pointed out that, although it is a sector of the rural part, they have received successful programs such as Decent Housing, mitigation works and attention to families, through the stabilization of channels, road improvement, storm drainage, construction of ramps, with an investment of more than 10 million córdobas, in recent years.
For their part, the residents were grateful for meeting their needs and especially for the children who go to school.
"We were running out of a way, because everything was collapsing, I thank God because it was really needed," said the protagonist Leoncio Matamoros Espinoza.
