Electrifying evening of boxing at the Roger Deshon

The Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua in conjunction with Youth Affairs of the National Police, held an evening of boxing this Friday, November 18, at the Roger Deshon Gymnasium in San Judas, with young people at risk from all the districts of Managua.

The boxing match included more than 20 electrifying fights, to show the skills of these young people who dream of being world champions.

“One more evening of boxing, here at the Roger Deshon gym, these young people who have opened this space for healthy recreation, practicing boxing, organized by the trainers of our academy and Youth Affairs of the National Police, are 13 sports disciplines that we host, getting into the ring is not easy, it is quite tiring, that the boys can find in boxing a discipline to train and stay in it, we can find a new world champion in these boxing evenings”, shared Noel González, Director of Sports of the Municipality.

Karla Cano, Lieutenant of the National Police, reported that this is the third boxing evening that has been held, "we comply with the guidance of our Good Government, we are hand in hand with the institutions and one of our allies to work with young people at risk It is the Mayor of Managua, we work in the different neighborhoods of Managua”.

For the young participants, practicing this sport gives them an opportunity not to be on the street and get away from vices, with the goal of winning medals, said Jhon López from District V.
