Capital authorities reopen the Artificial Lake of the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores Park

Under a night full of water, lights and a colorful landscape, the attractions of the artificial lake, located in the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park, were reopened this Friday, November 4, as part of the maintenance works carried out periodically by the Municipality in these family recreation spaces.

"We have been rehabilitating different spaces of our tourist circuit in the center of Managua, for the healthy recreation of families, we are delivering the artificial lake completely renovated, it is one of the favorite spaces of the Nicaraguan population," said Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado in the reopening act.

Within the works, electrical maintenance, sanitation, ornamentation, painting, improvement of metal structures were carried out, which had an investment of more than 5 million cordobas.

The artificial lake is part of the seventh and last construction stage of the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park and was inaugurated in December 2018, thus completing the 25 blocks of attractions that this recreation space has. It is one block long and 2.2 meters deep, where you can navigate with small boats, it has a light and musical fountain.

The fountain reaches heights of 30 to 40 meters and the movements of the water fountain are harmonized with music and lights, to provide a unique show for families who visit Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores Park.
