Family affected by the rains launches Solidarity Housing

Full of emotion, Mrs. Aura Yadira Sánchez, an inhabitant of the United Nations neighborhood in District V, received her new Decent Housing, number 35 built by the Mayor's Office of Citizen Power in this sector of Managua.

Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales attended the delivery of the keys, who shared that the protagonist received immediate assistance, from the moment her home was affected by the rains, last October.

He also highlighted that the United Nations neighborhood has 3,672 inhabitants divided into 525 families and from 2009 to date the Municipality has executed 9 Common Good projects, with an investment of 44 million 384 thousand 431 córdobas, in the construction of the Bariloche micro-dam, paving streets, road improvement works and storm drainage, as well as the construction of a pedestrian bridge.

“The important thing is that more resources are allocated for this neighborhood and more than 700 million córdobas in works in this District V for next year, congratulations to Sánchez, who today together with the 6 members of her family begins to sleep peacefully , will be able to safely face this final stretch of the winter season, she, together with the inhabitants of the area, are ready to vote for the People's Candidates, this weekend in box 2, to guarantee more Decent Housing and further improve this neighborhood that has grown so much, but little by little it is advancing”, added Armas.

Doña Aura expressed her gratitude to God and the Good Government for attending to her need, “if it hadn't been for them, I don't know how I would have done it, because I'm not working, the attention was very good, fast, the house fell apart. in the afternoon and in the morning they were already responding to me”.

The Decent Housing Program was born in 2009 and during this period the Sandinista Government has built 13,000 solidarity homes in the municipality of Managua and for this year 2022 it is planned to build 200 homes throughout the municipality.
