Works for the Common Good in the Carlos Roberto Huembes Market

This Thursday, October 27, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua inaugurated 3 projects for the common good in the Carlos Roberto Huembes market, which were built simultaneously to provide a comprehensive response to the most sensitive demands of merchants, improving and dignifying the areas work of the protagonists.

The 3 projects carried out in this capital market have an investment amount of 6 million 54 thousand 823 córdobas and consisted of the renovation of the ceiling in the 8 domes of the central nave, the construction of a new warehouse to store construction materials for the 8 markets and the construction of a new warehouse to dignify the working conditions of 90 merchants, who for 25 years were exposed to the elements.

The inauguration of the works was attended by Compañera Reyna Rueda Alvarado, Mayor of Managua, who expressed the Municipality's commitment to continue working to improve the working conditions of market merchants and recalled that in this year 2022 approximately 80 million córdobas, in works of progress for the capital markets.

The merchants were very happy with these executed works, as stated by the merchant Esther García, who had worked for more than 20 years under the sun and the rain, "first of all thanks to God, to the Good Government, to the Mayor's Office and Commema, because now we will have better conditions and the fruits will no longer be damaged.”
