Central American Volleyball Championship kicks off in the capital

The Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua and the Municipal Sports Company, inaugurated the Central American Men's Volleyball Championship in the U21 category, this Tuesday, October 18, at the Alexis Argüello Sports Center.

This Central American U21 tournament will take place from October 18 to 24, the Nicaraguan team has enormous quality and stature, with the possibility of obtaining a medal, said Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales, "we are going to a great event, we are going to play starting today for a week and all the teams are here, whoever wins here will be the real champion, because we have Panama, Belize, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, the boys go to the best gym in Central America to enjoy this Central American on consecutive nights, a great tournament and with the possibility of seeing Nicaragua in the first places”.

He also shared that this is the seventh Central American volleyball in which Nicaragua participates this year and a few days ago the Latin American Beach Volleyball Championship of the Norceca Tour 2022 was also held, on the first-level courts on Paseo Xolotlán, backed by the Good government.

“We have already started this championship, thank God everything has gone smoothly, very happy to be in this sports colossus, really all the countries of Central America want to come and play, I thank Commander Daniel for giving us the opportunity to have this sports infrastructure , we are going to defend to have that Central American championship”, expressed Engineer Bertha Cuadra, President of the Nicaraguan Volleyball Federation.

The Nicaraguan U21 Volleyball Team defeated Panama 3 sets to 1 (25-18/ 25-19/ 16-25/ 25-13) in the first match of the Central American Championship and to support the Pinolero team, admission is totally free.
